Activities for the burial rites of former Ghanaian President, Jerry John Rawlings have commenced.
On Monday and Tuesday, he will be laid in state at the Accra International Conference Center. Many TV stations will be covering it live.
A Catholic Requiem mass was held earlier Sunday, January 24, for President Rawlings as part of four-day funeral rites.
The vigil is expected to be attended by the family of Mr. Rawlings, government officials, dignitaries, and other dignitaries.
The former president who died on November 12, 2021 at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in the capital, Accra, left behind a wife and four children.
